Treehouse:
(Grades 1-2) |
| |
|
| |
| The Treehouse is 1 hour packed with fun.
Your children will worship God through high-energy praise
and worship music, play fun and exciting games, and most
important learn God's word through puppets, video teaching,
skits, and powerful object lessons. We invite your 1st-2nd
grader to experience God in a whole new way. |
| |
| What
about food in the classroom? |
Please be sure your children
eat at home and don’t bring food to the classroom.
|
| |
| We ask that you do not bring cake or donuts
to celebrate your child’s birthday or other special
occasions as there are many children with allergies that
cannot eat these foods. |
| |
| Occasionally our curriculum may include
making a snack to reinforce the Bible truth the children
are learning. We will post Allergy Alert signs whenever
we serve anything beyond goldfish, animal crackers or
fruit juice. |
| |
|
| What
should I bring? |
| Bible -
Elementary kids should bring their own Bibles each week.
We encourage them to look up verses and highlight verses
that are important to them. Please make sure your child’s
name is inside their Bible. We provide all registered
kids with an A2O tote bag to carry their Bible, highlighter
and any take home papers! |
| |
| Offering
– All kids have the opportunity to change the world
through giving. Kids can bring their “change”
(quarters, nickels, dimes etc) and put it in one of the
Change the World containers located in the classrooms.
Monies collected are sent to Miracle House, a Christian
orphanage in Kenya. |
| |
| When
is my child transitioned to the next age level classroom? |
| Transition Sunday will happen in mid-June. |
| |
| What
materials will my child bring home each weekend? |
| The items and information your child brings
home from his or her classes are valuable tools for you
as a parent. Please read them over and discuss the material
with your child during the week. Every time you talk about
the Bible truths learned in class, your child will be
confirming God’s Word and at the same time establishing
that you as a parent think the Bible truths are important. |
| |
| PreElementary through Elementary aged children
will receive a Driving Home the Point Sheet via email
which reiterates the Bible Adventure they learned, as
well as key points for you to discuss during the week. |
