| ACORNS TO OAKS KIDVENTURE
CLUB meets Wednesday nights and consists of three programs
and childcare as listed below: |
| |
|
| |
| Lil’ K is our Wednesday night program for PreKindergarten and Kindergarten kids (ages 4-K). It is an interactive multimedia-based curriculum. Kids will travel to six different stations during the evening: Conversation Station, Teaching, Song Time, Remember Verse, Knock Knock (review) and Group Activity Time. And then finally each week children receive the take home MAP Book. This application based review of the Bible story and lesson is delivered through fun learning activities. Designed to stimulate parental involvement and help build early spiritual formation, the MAP Book informs parents and reinforces the key-learning objective. |

| |
| Kidmo is a high energy, media driven time
for Grades 1-4. It consists of |
|
| Teaching Video:
Front and central to the KIDMO curriculum is the Hyper-Teaching
of JOHNNY ROGERS! A rising force in children’s ministry,
JOHNNY reaches kids with innovative messages and engaging
interactivity. His compelling application-based Bible
lessons have already impacted tens of thousands of kids.
The ultimate virtual teacher, JOHNNY delivers dynamic
lessons with fun, fast paced humor. |
| |
| Kwizmo:
This lesson review time is such a blast your kids will
eat it up like French-fried pistachios! The best part
of all is the way in which each KWIZMO reinforces the
lesson, Bible verse, and Compass Point. Competition based
questions, quizzes, and challenges, make for a wild and
zany time. Network quality production value and it’s
so easy to use. |
| |
| K’Motion:
The music of KIDMO comes from K’MOTION. Delivered
in music video form, the music of K’MOTION includes
on-screen lyrics, with lots of energy to invite participation.
K’MOTION delivers substantive worship music with
the most popular styles kids love. It’s worship
that’s fun and infectious! |
| |
| Memory Max:
With KIDMO’s proven learning techniques, your kids
will learn and retain Bible verses like never before!
MEMORY MAX utilizes hand motions, pneumonics and many
other surprises. Your kids will increase scripture retention
anywhere from 30% to 80%. Memory Max is so easy and effective,
you’ll never look at scripture memory the same way
again! |
| |
| Small Groups:
After large group time, your kids will be engaged with
the most personal and interactive approach—small
groups. After discussing questions each kid will receive
a Mission Action Plan or “MAP BOOK”. It’s
a take home study guide that reinforces the principles
of the teaching video. It contains practical examples
of how to live out the lesson. That’s it! Each child
earns points by bringing back the completed MAP Book the
following week signed by their parent or guardian. |

| |
| Grapple is our Wednesday night program for Grades 5-6. Grapple tackles the tough questions your preteens are asking. It will captivate their attention when we dig into the real-life issues they are dealing with the most. It will engage their participation through attention-grabbing lessons, thought-provoking videos, fun games, and deep, life-changing Bible lessons. It will inspire kids to connect throughout the week with their very own safe and secure online community at MYGrapple.com. And most importantly, it will encourage them to put their faith into practice. |
| |
| Also on Wednesday evenings our Acorns to
Oaks ministry provides for the needs of our little ones
birth through age 3, while their parents attend
adult activities at the church. |
| |
| Kids Worship Arts is our worship arts program for kids
in grades 1-6. They meet on Wednesday evenings before
KidVenture Club and will prepare for seasonal music presentations
as well as introduce kids to basic music theory. Most importantly
they will learn the meaning of the music they are singing
so that their presentations are true worship experiences. |

| Infant/Child Dedication
is offered on Mother’s Day and two other times throughout the year. Through this ceremony, parents present their
child to the Lord and vow to raise their child in a Godly
home. In addition to the meaning of dedication, the orientation
includes a connection with other new parents, beginning
the spiritual training of your child, what to expect from
Christian education and how to assume the spiritual leadership
in your home. |

| Children’s
Baptism is offered several times a year for children
Grades 3 and up. Acorns to Oaks offers a class (which
is highly suggested for children being baptized at Living
Oaks). Once kids have taken the class they can be baptized
at any time. All children wishing to be baptized need
to be interviewed by the Pastor to Children and Families. Kids must be pre-registered as there are worksheets
to be completed at home with their parents prior to attending
the class. |
